My Top Vegan Milk Options for Vegan Cereals
So, again this is down to personal preference and for me it also depends on your cereal of choice. However for me almond milk is my all round fave for tea, coffee and cereal.
- Almond milk
- Coconut milk (not in cups of tea though)
- Oat milk
- Hazelnut milk
- Soya milk
But like I said I would choose to have these potentially on different cereals or mood I was in. Oat milk is creamy, too creamy for me to have on a regular basis, I find soya milk quite bla, however if your cereal has lots of flavor than you can’t really notice. Coconut milk I love especially with porridge!
The other nut milks are a great change from almond, and can really jazz up your cereal, however almond for me wins, great in hot drinks and tasty on cereal, also use it in my baking, cheese sauces and they are always super tasty!

Cereals that are not vegan:

- Malt O’ Meal
- Cap’n Crunch
- Rice crispies
Why are so many cereals not vegan?
So nowadays food packages tend to be clearly labelled as to whether they are suitable for vegans/vegetarians and clearly state the ingredients. Now quite a lot of cereals state they are suitable for vegetarians but not for vegans and the reason for this is because they are fortified with either vitamin D3 or D2. D3 can be derived from animal sources and therefore would not be suitable for vegans.
Vegan Granola
So my personal preference of breakfast these days is actually granola. Its the perfect go to, you can easily create your own or even just mix a few cereal options together to get your perfect unique breakfast sensations.
